  1. Get it right first time – if you don’t you will not be given a chance to submit more documentation, your application will be refused, and you will not be given a refund of your visa fee.  So you will have to start from scratch having wasted your time, effort and money!
  2. The Entry Clearance Officer (decision-maker of visa applications) is not allowed to use his/her discretion – if your documents do not exactly conform to the requirements set out in the Policy Guidance for the Tier you apply under, your application will be refused.
  3. Only ever submit original documents!  Copies, scans, notarised/certified copies etc. will not be accepted and your application will be refused.
  4. If you have doubts about a piece of your supporting documentation don’t submit it – find an alternative piece of evidence.
  5. If in any doubt, use an immigration advisor to at least check your documentation – it will save you time, money and a lot of stress compared to a refusal!  Why not use de Prey Consulting, and get it right first time?
