Visit the UK

There are numerous types of visit visa: from a tourist visa to a business visit, from a student visitor to a visiting entertainer, to name but a few.

Some nationalities need a visit visa whatever the purpose of their visit to the UK; other nationalities only require a visit visa in certain circumstances.

Even when a visit visa is not required, there are certain times when it is recommended, such as when you have previously been questioned or refused entry on arrival in the UK, or if your circumstances are unusual.
